Pixilated Recipes: Gluten-free Apple Pecan Crumb Cake
Howdy peeps! Today is Mabon and I decided to pop in to share the cake I made for tonight's dessert. It's gluten-free and SUPER easy, because I cheated and used a boxed mix for the base of this recipe. Whatever, it's still delicious!

Gluten-free Apple Pecan Crumb Cake Ingredients:
● 1 Box Krusteaz gluten-free cinnamon swirl crumb cake & muffin mix
● 1 Granny Smith apple (peeled and diced small)
● 5 eggs
● 1/3 c butter (melted)
● 1/4 c milk
● 1/4 c chopped pecans
● 1 tsp vanilla
● 1 tsp maple syrup
● dash or 3 of nutmeg
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F and grease an 8 x 8" baking pan
- Combine diced apples, chopped pecans, vanilla, maple syrup, and nutmeg with HALF of the cinnamon crumb topping from mix in a bowl and set aside.
- Stir cake mix, melted butter, milk, and eggs together in mixing bowl until combined.
- Fold in the apple mixture.
- Spoon batter into prepared pan and top with remaining cinnamon crumb topping.
- Bake for 40 - 45 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean (I used a glass corningware dish and baked for 45 minutes)
Now let it cool for a bit, then dig in and enjoy!!
