Foresight Friday: You Live, You Learn, You Move On

My Foresight Friday Interpretation: 

Another week has come and gone, and the weather in my neck of the woods has been fantastic! I know it's only going to last a few days, and then we'll be back to seasonal temps, but the sunshine and warmth has me feeling renewed.

So, let's do this!!

I'm sticking with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tarot, since I'm getting used to its vibe (while simultaneously continuing my Buffy Binge-a-thon).

After a nice long shuffle, the card that presented itself to us today is the 5 of Scythes in the reversed position.

The 5 of Scythes depicts an image of Buffy and her Mother, with 5 scythes seemingly separating them. Mrs. Summers looks vaguely disappointed, while Buffy has a troubled look on her face (Like she's done something that, perhaps, needed doing... but, she's not happy about having had to do it).

If this card were upright, it would mean that a period of harsh words/actions, miscommunication, and general not-goodness would be upon us. Good thing for us though, since it's reversed!

What does that mean? It means that those not so great things have happened in our past, and that it's time for us to move on and leave that not-goodness behind.

Whether this not-goodness is a recent occurrence or something that happened long ago, now is the time to have it all come to a peaceful resolution and for us to move forward and leave it where it belongs: far behind us.

Perhaps this means finally clearing the air with someone or just coming to terms with things in our own mind. Either way, its time to realize that dwelling on such matters only holds us back and keeps us from living a full, and fulfilling, life.

Whatever it was, chalk it up to a life lesson. As the wise and angsty Alanis Morissette once said: You live, you learn. So, have a listen to the song, if you like, then go ahead and live, love, cry, lose, bleed, scream, wear it down, and melt it down... whatever it is that needs doing in order to learn the lesson and move on down the road of life.
