Foresight Friday: Look Before You Leap
Divination Method: Supernatural Tarot
Card Drawn: The Fools, Reversed
Key Words: Reckless, Careless, Impulsive
My Foresight Friday Interpretation:
It's Friday again, my friends, and that means more ramblings from yours truly. Autumn is really starting to take hold here with vibrant colors everywhere. There's nothing like an autumn landscape once the leaves change,
Alrighty, enough about the weather. Let's move on to this week’s card...
I decided to get back to the Supernatural tarot this week. Perhaps because we're into spooky season now...or maybe it's because The Winchesters has premiered, no idea.
In any case, the card that presented itself to us is The Fools in the reversed position.
Depicted on this card are the Winchester Boys themselves, Sam & Dean, walking together down the center of a road.
Regardless of position, this card is indicative of beginnings. It generally signifies that we're heading into something without much caution.
Upright would give us the feeling of adventure and throwing caution to the wind, in the best possible sense.
Reversed, however, it serves as a warning.
The Fools reversed suggests a tendency to be reckless, impulsive, or even negligent in our actions.
This card reversed makes us aware of this, and gives us a chance to reign ourselves in.
Sam & Dean really are perfect for this card. They are always diving into situations head first, without a whole lot of thought/planning. Most of the time, even with bumps in the road, things work out just fine.
This week, acting rashly and without thought will lead to nothing good. So, we need to keep our wits about us as we start whatever this new venture is.
The good news is that, much like Sam & Dean, our friends and family will play an integral part in our ability to survive the week. We can trust that they have our backs.
As wonderful and supportive as our peeps are...it's still a good idea to err on the side of caution and look before we leap. If for no other reason than to give them less of a mess to help us clean up.
We'll end things with a pertinent quote:
"Look before you leap for as you sow, ye are like to reap." Samuel Butler
