Foresight Friday: Waiter! Reality Check, Please!
Divination Method: The Labyrinth Tarot
Card Drawn: 7 of Pots, Reversed
Key Words: Fanciful Thinking, Clouded Judgement
My Foresight Friday Interpretation:
Welcome back, everyone! Hope y'all managed to stay on your toes last week, and didn't let anything phase you.
Just an FYI, I'm taking the next 2 weeks off from the blog because I'll be traveling to visit family for my 50th birthday! So, between all the work at the day job that needs doing before I leave (not to mention packing) and whatever shenanigans I get up to while I'm gone, I likely won't have enough time to crank out one of these delightful posts.
I'm sure I'll still post a few things to the socials (Twitter, Facebook, Insta...you follow me, right?... RIGHT??? 👀) so, be on the lookout for who knows what. LOL
Alrighty, let's get down to business, shall we?
I'm feeling The Labyrinth Tarot today. Maybe it's because I'm going on a journey that is guaranteed to involve some hijinks and colorful characters (if you know my family, you know what I'm talking about 😂).
Anywhoodles, this week’s card is the 7 of Pots in the reversed position. Depicted on the card are a variety of 7 pots..which are - since it's reversed - upside down.
What does that mean? It means we're going to see all sorts of really awesome things cross our paths. We're going to get SO EXCITED at the opportunities we see, one after the other.
Things might start to feel super awesome, and we might get carried away, and let our imaginations run wild at just how awesome things are gonns be...
But, hold up. Before we go diving head first into All The Things, it's time to flag down our Universal Waiter, and ask him for our Reality Check.
*Waiter stolls over with an apathetic look on his face and waves the 7 of Pots at us*
Our Reality Check is here to warn us against unfettered idealism. We need to look at things as they ARE not how we want them to be.
The Pots might look all cool, hell maybe some even appear to be shiny and valuable - just what we've been looking/hoping for. They may look great, but we need to do our due diligence.
We need to turn them over and look to see if anything is hiding beneath them; be sure to check for hidden flaws as well.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I am very idealistic. But, this idealist is reminding us all that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
That's not to say that nothing good will come of this week - and doesn't mean we have to forgo optimism - it just means that we have to be cautious about what we get ourselves into. No leaping before looking allowed!
Welp, that's all I've got peeps! I'll catch you on the flip side! 😎
Until Next Time, Pixilators!
Wishing You Peace, Love, & Pixie Dust
