Foresight Friday: Get Out Of Your Own Way
Divination Method: The Wild Unknown Tarot
Card Drawn: Five of Swords
Key Word(s): Self-Destruction
My Foresight Friday Interpretation:
I hope everyone got their minds right last week and that we’re all tuned in to ourselves and our surroundings, because in the next seven days we need to be painfully aware of our own bullshit.
This week’s card is the Five of Swords. It’s a big old warning to be on the lookout for all those things we do, or allow ourselves to get drawn into that make our lives somehow go kablooey.
We humans can often be our own worst enemy, but that doesn’t mean we HAVE to be.
Be on the lookout for things that could lead to trouble. Burning the candle at both ends, severe procrastination, taking the bait when someone goads you, speaking without thinking first, ignoring responsibilities, or butting your nose in where it doesn’t belong are all things that we should be hyper aware of in the next seven days.
Basically, we’re on red alert for any self-destructive/self-sabotaging behavior. This tends to happen with a lot of us when things have been going well, when changes (even positive ones) are about to occur, or if we encounter one “too many” obstacles while trying to reach a goal.
The reasons why we do it will vary based on our own personal psychology, but we all need to be aware of ourselves and our triggers if we’re to avoid getting in our own frikken way!
So my advice is to destress as often as possible next week, don’t interfere in things that don’t directly concern us, do what actually needs doing, watch what we say, and avoid unnecessary confrontation.
Just be aware, chill the f*ck out, and don’t be a dick. Seriously guys, life throws enough curve balls at us as it is without us mucking things up with self-destructive behavior.
Sooo….how ‘bout we just do ourselves a favor for once and get the hell out of our own way? I’m willing to give it a shot. I hope you are too.
