My Foresight Friday Interpretation:
This past week we were supposed to be grounding, and basically getting our minds right after the craziness that resulted due to Mercury’s little vacation. Hopefully we were all able to enjoy the energy of the full moon, set some manifestation goals, and are now feeling a bit better about things.
So, what’s in store for us this week? Well…let’s find out.
It looks like we’re in for more Earthy goodness for the next 7 days.
The Nature card reveals all the things we need to focus on, and gives us several ways to do it. It is the element of Earth, the connection between all living things. It is that which we build the foundations of our lives upon, as well as that which the food we grow in it draws its nourishment.
The animal associated with the Nature card is Blackbird. Blackbird encourages us to be curious about the world around us, and to discover its mysteries. Explore, contemplate, and honor your surroundings and they may reveal their secrets.
This card’s herb is Hemlock. Hemlock has also been used for its medicinal properties as an expectorant, and a sedative and muscle relaxer, but it’s mostly known to us as a poison (a lot of us learned this from reading Shakespeare’s Macbeth). It reminds us that too much of a good thing can be dangerous. It is also a plant that grows best from logs that have already begun to decay - a reminder that new life can be born from death. You know, that whole cycle of life, and all things kept in balance thing again, lol.
And then we come to Nature’s crystal: Forest Jasper. It is a stone of Life, and Joy, and yet another reminder of the interconnectedness of all things. It is our call to do what we can to protect nature and all we find within it. We are the caretakers of the Earth, and this is a call to continue doing what we can to help our planet, and the creatures upon it, to thrive.
When you read all of that I guess it sounds like a daunting task that we have ahead of us…and perhaps in the long-run it is. NOW, however, if we just focus on connecting and exploring some aspect of nature…listening to what we have to learn from it all…accepting all the nurturing our spirits can soak up, nurture and protect the Earth in return, and have some fun doing it, we’ll have a good week.
So go forth, my friends: Get Your Nature On!!
