My Foresight Friday Interpretation:
The Warrior appears for us this week, and as you’d expect, she’s a bit off a badass. She
stands firm in her resolve and is ready to face her fears in order to continue her journey forward. She holds a sword, and while she hopes it won’t be necessary, she is most certainly prepared to use it.Badger stands close to our Warrior, reminding her to remain grounded, and to not act rashly and without conviction.
The lower right corner of the card contains sprays of Borage (the little blue flowers). Borage’s magical properties include Protection, Courage, Happiness, and Psychic Powers.
Now, people who don’t really get what those sorted into the Hufflepuff House at Hogwarts are all about, mistakenly think that its members are all super nice - to the point of being pushovers.
Potterheads, like me however, know they couldn’t be more wrong. The mascot of this house is the Badger for a reason. They may be kind and tolerant - almost to a fault, but they have an inner strength and are known for patience, fierce loyalty and a deep sense of justice.
If you are familiar with the Potterverse, then the Hufflepuff we most want to emulate this coming week is Tonks. I would describe Tonks as kind, loyal, funny, brave, feisty, and not afraid of a challenge. I mean, she DID marry a frikken werewolf for crying out loud; granted, Remus Lupin was a kind & gentle soul…but when the moon was full - he got a bit testy!
But, I digress. The point is this week we meet our challenges head on. This is a week to call on inner & spiritual strength - or our strength of character. We’ve been working up to this, and the Universe has our backs. There’s no need to chicken out - though Mercury being retrograde means that we should surely exercise caution in our endeavors. But, much like our friend The Warrior, we’ve got a support system that is willing to be there for moral - or any kind of - support.
So, have courage, stand your ground, be tenacious, muster up that fortitude of spirit, and trust your instincts.
