My Foresight Friday Interpretation:

This week we’re blessed with the appearance of Lion. They are strong, proud, protectors with strong family ties. Their sense of community and propensity for teamwork is legendary…almost as legendary as their powerful presence and mighty roar.

So what does Lion’s appearance mean for us? Well, it seems to me that it’s high time for us to find out what stepping into our power and proudly showing the world precisely who we are feels like!

This isn’t a time for showboating or flaunting things to gain the approval of others. This is a time for being confident in our own skins and not giving a damn if anyone approves or doesn’t. It’s not about ‘them’…it’s about ‘being’.

We’re here dammit, and we’re not going to cower in a corner and hope nobody notices us. We need to move forward with conviction and claim our rightful place in this world.

Join with others of like mind and form a pride of sorts. Work together to get all the meaningful shit done! We won’t be knocked around by those who thought we were pushovers. We are amazing, and we should totally own that!

Embrace your inner Lannister (The strong and proud of who they are bits...not the murdery insestuous bits)! If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you’ll likely recognize this quote from Tywin Lannister. He was most certainly an insufferable prat, but sometimes he made some sense.

Now, some of y’all might be feeling more sheepish than lion-like. I get it, things have kind of been piling on this year, and it can all take a toll on one’s confidence and mental health. If that’s the case, take some time alone somewhere and do something that can ignite that inner flame.

Meditate, if that’s your thing. Sit on the earth and draw energy up through the ground and into your body if that’s what’s required. Sing along to your favorite songs at the top of your lungs (I’m talking seriously belting out those tunes, baby! Can’t sing? Say “Fuck it” and do it anyway!). Hell, go right ahead and be literal about all of this “be a lion” business; visit an empty field and actually let out a frikken roar or two.

Whatever things you do in order to get yourself fired up for something…do them.

It is time for us to embody our strengths, speak our truths, and honor the gifts that we and those in our chosen pride possess. We are plenty powerful as individuals…but, as a group we can achieve great things.

I’m going to leave you with a little ditty from Miss Katy Perry (Pretty sure you know where this is going, lol). Like her or loathe her, the lyrics of this song - and the power conveyed in its music - are just the thing we’re going for.
