My Interpretation:
Wow.
This one feels profound to me. Just as the “civilized world” is opening up and
beckoning us to return to the norm, we are also beckoned by the being that is
Wood.
The
world around us is starting to hustle and bustle again. It’s trying to tempt us
with that which we thought we were missing. While getting out and doing ALL THE THINGS may sound extremely appealing, the appearance of Wood indicates we
should be doing the opposite.
Trees
have long been associated with knowledge, strength, renewal, enlightenment, and
long life. They provide homes for the creatures of the forest, and have been
used to shelter us as well. They provide us with clean air to breathe, fruits
and nuts to eat, and shady spots to escape the sometimes harsh heat of the sun.
One
could conclude that without trees, we humans would lead a much more difficult existence…if
we lived at all.
It
is now time for us to sit with the trees. Nope, I don’t mean that figuratively.
Seek them out and sit for a while. Listen to them speak in the wind. Watch the
sunlight dance through their leaves. Lean up against them and feel their
strength as they support you. Hug a frikken tree, and feel the pulse of nature flowing
through its very being.
Somewhere
in all that trees and wood provide for us is a message. They provide us with a
doorway to the Divine, and now is the time to step through it and discover our
place in the Cycles of Life. It's time to find out what it is that lies within us,
and get an inkling as to how we can nurture it and help it grow.
Ignore the carnival barkers that are trying to lure us into forgetting the current situation, and all we have learnt in the past several weeks.
Instead, we need to go inward.
Ignore the carnival barkers that are trying to lure us into forgetting the current situation, and all we have learnt in the past several weeks.
Instead, we need to go inward.
We
must tap into our inner element of Wood this week. Be Strong, Flexible, Support
Others, Bring Life to New Ideas, Seek Knowledge, and Exercise Wisdom.
I’m
going to leave you today with a quote:
“Nature soothes us. Nature heals us, and something more, the woods are a place of power. Any woods that are still surviving on this planet, those are powerful areas to have kept themselves free from the encroachment of the industrial societies of our earth.” Frederick Lindermann
